MAX-MAXXING

Attempting to maximize the number of things you are currently trying to maximize.

THE STACK HAS BECOME THE LIFE.

What is MAX-MAXXING?

Max-maxxing is the impossible master discipline of trying to maximize every available dimension at once. Improvement itself becomes the hyperfixation: each new system produces more categories, tasks and dashboards, until the stack grows too contradictory to practice.

Supposedly maxes

number of hyperfixations / optimization vocabulary / unfinished monthly trackers / contradictory goals / the impossibility of completion

Adherents believe

  1. There is always something left to maxx.

  2. Every solved category reveals three more.

  3. A complete collection is conceptually impossible.

  4. The next hyperfixation may finally organize the previous ones.

  5. Contradictory maximums are still maximums.

You may already be MAX-MAXXING if…

  • every new system requires three more systems
  • your morning routine is longer than the morning
  • optimization has become the activity you were optimizing for
  • every solved problem creates a new dashboard

Typical practices

  • rolling another maxxing
  • printing overlapping calendars
  • changing the lock screen weekly
  • collecting evidence of new suffix formations
  • starting before finishing
