What is MAX-MAXXING?
Max-maxxing is the impossible master discipline of trying to maximize every available dimension at once. Improvement itself becomes the hyperfixation: each new system produces more categories, tasks and dashboards, until the stack grows too contradictory to practice.
Supposedly maxes
number of hyperfixations / optimization vocabulary / unfinished monthly trackers / contradictory goals / the impossibility of completion
Adherents believe
There is always something left to maxx.
Every solved category reveals three more.
A complete collection is conceptually impossible.
The next hyperfixation may finally organize the previous ones.
Contradictory maximums are still maximums.
You may already be MAX-MAXXING if…
- every new system requires three more systems
- your morning routine is longer than the morning
- optimization has become the activity you were optimizing for
- every solved problem creates a new dashboard
Typical practices
- rolling another maxxing
- printing overlapping calendars
- changing the lock screen weekly
- collecting evidence of new suffix formations
- starting before finishing
